Sorry i cant advise Sooty55. I had my p.m last August due to sudeen slow heart rate. Alls been good since. I really hope they sort out the problem as soon as possible. If needed obviously ring 999. But dont think anyone wants to go in hospital at present. Take care. Brian
Thanks for your reply I phone 999 as advised every time but with present situation in hospital not going to A and E just have to keep plodding on until it’s sorted just fed up of feeling so unwell all the time
Hi Sooty, welcome to the forum. I had my PM implanted I for heart block last August and haven't felt this good for years. I am not a doctor, but do know that your PM should be treating your heart block. It is possible that your PM or one of the leads is faulty, and this should be looked into - untreated heart block is potentially fatal. I urge you to go to A&E as soon as possible. I know that the NHS is concentrating on Covid 19 at present, but they are still open for other emergencies and I'm sure they will keep you safe.
it has happened 12 times since having pacemaker it is not pleasant to say the least I have been to A and E everytime but it remains a mystery as every test and blood test comes back OK
Hi Sooty. I had a pacemaker fitted for complete heart block but continued to feel faint and was breathless on the slightest exertion. It took a very long time of going to A&E, seeing cardiologist and GP but eventually a second opinion cardiologist repeated all tests. An echocardiogram showed the ventricles were beating out of synch with each other. I had a 3 lead pacemaker fitted in December and have been vastly improved ever since. It seems to me that doctors assume a pacemaker sorts everything out and they can appear unwilling to believe you still have disabling symptoms for whatever reason. I am glad you are having more tests to identify your particular problem and wish you all the best.
