Hello anybody had Dobutamine Echocardiogram ,how long do you have to wait before you hear something ,aksed gp and he as not hear anything have waited 6 weeks any ideas.

For the information of others a Dubutamine stress test is where stress is drug induced rather than by exercise.

On to your question. Nobody should wait for the results of an echo cardiogram more than four weeks. If your GP requested the test ring him up as he should be chasing it by now. Alternatively if it was the hospital ring up the consultant's secretary. Six weeks is totally unacceptable.
