My partner has mild/moderate leaking of the mitral heart valve... he’s is 33YO male and suffers from chest pain and minor breathlessness. Should he still go to work?

Hi. I have breathlessness too (lying flat and on exertion) and while my diagnosis is something in progress my cardiologist suggested that I distance myself socially and work from home for the next 3 months (even before the government made this suggestion). I'd say it would be best if he worked from home, if possible.

Hi Elmo218

Welcome to the forum.

All of us need to social distance some more so than others.

I suggest you talk to one of the cardiac nurses on the BHF helpline.

The BHF updated the information about coronavirus

Only you can make this kind of decision, you know if he is showing symptoms different from his "Normal "

He’s absolutely fine just wondering if he’s an at risk group really 🤷‍♀️

I would think he is but for confirmation talk to a BHF professional.
