7 day monitor result

So after having the 7 day monitor on, i receive a letter off the Cardio Dr saying i have a follow up appointment on august the 6th which is 5 months off! but no result or any news as to if they have found anything wrong. Is this normal? why do i need another appontment or is this routine? thank you

That's strange, I had a five day monitor and I see the cardiologist in May but he still wrote to me with a brief summary of the findings.

I would think if your appt isn't for another 5 months if an issue has been found then it's not urgent. Easier said then done but try not too worry too much.
