I am currently on 5mg of Bisoprolol plus other tabs. I know I had a small embolic stroke during surgery 5 months ago, and have had other problems with my heart, but I have also had those problems supposedly solved. I would like to know if anyone else on Bisoprolol at this level feels like they have had lead injected into their veins, I feel so "heavy" and also a bit wobbly. This has increased over time, rather than improved. I cannot walk very far without exhaustion. Anyone else noticed this?

bisoprolol ?
Hi Jackie,
I am now 15 months on and pleased to say I am feeling fine. This time last year I was shocked how tired I felt, yes feeling heavy limbed and taking naps during the day. I was sure some of it was due to the medication. Some days I do still get tired but it is very rare. I walk 40+ minutes each day, ride my bike, work and look after the house. I make sure I have days when I rest, that doesn't mean stop, I still walk the dogs. I try to listen to my body but at the same time keep doing some form of exercise however small.
Some people do react badly to their medication so if you are concerned talk to your medical staff. Good luck.
Sorry to heat you're suffering. Fatigue is a common side effect. Speak to your doctor or pharmacist the next time you see either of them.
spoke to him today, he said to take a holiday from the Bisoprolol for a few days and see if it makes any difference. Will do but am v nervous having read about people here having withdrawal symptoms...|I asked about that, he laughed and said they are NOT addictive and there should be no withdrawal symptoms.................................................!!!
Hi. I am having the same problems with bisoprolol (always tired, worn out ). It says on the packet not to stop suddenly and my pharmacist says it’s early days and I should persevere. I think I will have to do something , so will discuss with my doctor again.
I would be interested further to know if you suffer any withdrawal symptoms. Thanks.
I went to the doctor yesterday about my runny nose and chesty cough.Told him I was bringing up phlegm in the morning like an old Collier. He told me to leave off the bisoprolol for a week,if it stops come back and we,'ll change the tablet. If not start taking them again. He said it won't hurt to stop straight away and lay off them for a week.
I wouldn't stop it immediately. I was ask a pharmacist.
I think it is better to ask your cardiologist. The pharmacist can only quote what is on the instructions in the packet; the cardiologist knows what is going on with your heart. I spoke to my cardiologist and he is find with stopping for a week to see if it makes a difference.
