I am not certain but politely I don’t think it’s the medicine that is causing this I think it is the blood pressure which is too high. Some of the side-effects of two high blood pressure will be seeing stars when you sneeze the odd kaleidoscope headache and I find sometimes I get the odd passing phase of tinnitus Or are feeling well my ears feel blocked. I discussed this with my doctor and he checked my ears and confirm my suspicions this is usually due to high blood pressure the very thing the medicine is supposed to help with. The good news is a couple of months later a lot of the symptoms of majorly subsided and I’m not at the full dose of the medicine yet so hang on in there

Have had tinnitus in my left ear since 2016 Developed it in my right ear after having my dosage of Ramipril upped from 5mg to 10mg

Thought there might be a connection as my right ear was always clear

Taking 5mg Ramipril and 5mg Amlodipine now see if that has any affect

Maybe I’m just grasping at threads as it’s very loud in both ears now

Even the tone has changed since the Ramipril dose was upped

Time will tell I hope

I have had tinnitus for many years. I found that 2.5mg dosage of Ramipril was making my tinnitus loud all the time, instead of the usual variation between loud and quiet noises; so the dosage was reduced to 1.25mg and the tinnitus has reverted to its original state, i.e. it is not as bad as it was on the higher dosage.

Have noticed a big spike in my tinnitus even in my left side side the dosage was upped

Only on my second day after cutting back
