DVLA Treadmill Test

Today I managed to pass the treadmill test which should be the last hurdle to getting my HGV licence back - I've passed all tests asked for so should just be a case of waiting for the paperwork to catch up - now 8 months post CABGx3

Thanks - I've recently started the Heart Smart classes at local leisure centre, lots of walking and lost about 8 pounds since Christmas - determined to keep to the new regime

My hubby is a farm contractor and his aim when he had his CABGx4 in April 2018 was to be fit to drive a combine at harvest. Despite a stroke in early June he managed to do several days on a combine and then when he got his driving licence back he was able to go hedgecutting for the winter.

Hi there Bigrig. Being an ex Van driver myself. I am so pleased to hear your news. I have a Son who is an HGV driver. If your like me. You get days when working where you feel you cant wait for retirement. But know i have got there. I do have days where i miss a nice long drive. But at least i have my car. And i am in no rush. Hope its good news and your back doing your job pal
