Cornish gin.

To start the day on a lighter note, yesterday I invented a new flavour gin. It`s easy to make, just put your litre of gin in the fridge on it`s side with cap insecurely screwed,it will then fill your veg box! Did I immediately tip it down the sink? No,of course not!I double st rained it,poured myself a large GnT,sipped it,then tipped down the sink. What a waste, veg didn`t look too happy either.

I think the lesson learned here is to not put the gin bottle away in the first place!! 😂

cowparsley profile image
cowparsley in reply toLezzers

Certainly not keeping it in the fridge again!

Exactly, always finish the bottle totally and then the only place to put it in is the bin as its empty!! 😂

Hi cowparsey. You could have made gin and vegetable soup with the spoiled veg. Well maybe not.

Would several glasses of gin replaced my 5 aday do you think?

stillaboveground profile image
stillaboveground in reply tocowparsley

1 Glass of gin (juniper berries) and 1 glass of wine (grapes) then you got 2 of your 5 a day.

That's a real waste of good veg lol. Why does your gin have to be in the fridge? That's what ice cubes are for darling. 🤑

I know but it`s incase I run out of ice.Haven`t got an ice box and I live too far from shops to just pop out.Won`t be put in fridge in future that`s for sure.

I would expect Cornish Gin to have a yellow hue from saffron, just like the (saffron cake). A cream tea gin might be a step to far but didn't Heston Blumenthal do a Bakewell Tart one.

cowparsley profile image
cowparsley in reply toMichaelJH

Mine did have a yellow hue.It was from the swede but you`re right about the saffron.Wonder why no one`s come up with it.Could it be that the yellow hue might be rather reminiscent of something else not entirely attractive?
