is Heart failure and pregnancy too much of a risk? As I’ve just had a heart attack but being able to have my own family has been a concern for me?

Heart failure and pregnancy
This is a question only your medical team can answer. It depends on so many factors and only they know your specifics.
There are a few of us Lady Hearties here with a variety of heart conditions who have, with the full assistance of our doctors, managed pregnancy and delivery of beautiful children. It's possible you will be able to as well - but you need to work with your medical team to decide if it's possible for you.
Hi Tee2020
Welcome to the forum.
As Sunnie2day has already said you will need to discuss this issue with multidisciplinary team of Cardiologists, Obstetricians, Paediatricians and Midwives.
There are some centres who provide pre conceptual care and I suggest you ask your GP to refer you to such a centre.

Here is a link about a lovely Cardiologist who I have met when she was the on call Cardiologist when I was in hospital. It is a story about a mother and her baby!

Thank-you for posting the link to the mother and baby story, it's a beautiful recounting of how complete cooperation from the parents and dedicated teamwork between a mum and her medical team resulted in a gorgeous wee lass being born to what has to be the happiest parents in Britain. Love they named the baby after the doctor.
Ooh this really is a question for your heart team. Good luck.
