Went to gym on weds, 3/4 way thro normal routine was sat resting and next thing I knew I was face first onto floor with no recollection of what happened. Was feeling groggy so got changed. Later phone GP who advised A & E visit for check. Was expecting to be sent packing as hospital was very busy, however cant fault treatment I received as they where very caring and completed numerous checks over a 24 hr stay. Result was a diagnosis of fainting with no problems found. So here I am with a bruised and cut head, numerous bruises and pin holes, but glad of result as due to fly on holiday on sunday.

Pleased you are ok and, nice to have holiday to look forward too. Just a thought came to mind I wonder if your fall was due to a sudden drop in blood pressure as you mentioned you were sitting at rest 3/4 way through gym session. While exercising your blood pressure will probably raise so it's important to not just sit immediately following exercising to avoid BP suddenly dropping. Before sitting try to wind down for a few minutes. You may already know this but just wanted to mention.

The rest was the 1 min in between activities as directed by the instructor.

Sorry to hear about your problems, but it all seems good news from then on.

After I had a stent fitted, I too was on holiday, but in UK and over an hour from the nearest A&E.

I fainted on the beach. Could say I was all washed up ....

Ambulance called and had a long trip over bumpy welsh roads in a poorly sprung ambulance.

Fortunately I had all my medical notes with me and the doctor on duty couldn't get over it as they seemed to help her a lot and removed doubt about what my problems actually were.

I know it's late to respond to you just before you go, but can I suggest taking a COPY with you and keeping then in a back pocket. (If you haven't got a photocopier, just take photos on your phone). I do hope they won't be used and just come back rather crumpled. (don't forget your GTN spray)

Good luck

Henry

Well I am now all wired up for the week to see if anything shows up as to cause the blackout. At the time it was thought I had fainted, now it seems to have been a blackout.
