Well it's 18.40 on 28/12/2019, and 1 year ago at this time I was in an Intensive care room in Liverpool Heart and Chest Hospital, in an induced coma and blissfully unaware that I'd had heart attack/cardiac arrest earlier!

Fast forward 1 year and I'm feeling 200% better than I did before my unexpected trip to hospital. I'm grateful to all the dedicated staff in the hospital and the cardio rehab staff who have all been hugely important in helping me recover.

To all the contributors on this forum, you're replies to my queries and those of others have been so helpful and reassuring, you have helped me much more than you will ever know, thank you all.

For all those people who are just starting this journey, yes it is frightening to begin with, but it does get better, with application and the right mindset you can recover to lead a good life.

And as well as being the 1st anniversary of my heart attack, it's also 1 year since I last had a cigarette, after all those years I've finally dumped that habit of smoking - it's taken me a long time but at last!😊
