Calcium score

I have just had my results from a CT cardiac angiogram and it tells me calcium score is 99.9(LAD 64.1. circumflex 18.7 and RCA17.1)

Can anybody please advise what this means?

TIA and a merry Christmas to you all 🎄

It means you have got calcified arterial plaque. To my understanding it is at a level that would usually be addressed by lifestyle changes and medication. They may carry out further tests like an angiogram for a more detailed understanding of the blockages and to determine if a stent to the LAD may be appropriate. However, this is speculation on my part. You really need to talk to your cardiologist.

Don't worry though and enjoy Christmas.

Thank you. I’m due an MRI scan at the end of Jan and cardiologist is arranging an appointment for 6 months time. He has written to my GP with advice on medication so I guess the GP will be able to explain a bit more to me
