Android App for Meds

Now that I am taking warfarin, I'm looking for an app for my phone to record all my details, Warfarin and other medicines, so that even if my phone is locked a paramedic/ medical professional etc can get my medical details.

Does anyone have any recommendations of any good apps please?

I wouldn't recommend a phone app -if say, you collapsed and the phone flew out of your hand, the paramedics will not spend their time hunting around for a phone.

I have a SOS Talisman pendant on a chain around my neck - the talisman unscrews and the paper within contains details of my medical issues and medicines. I'm a tech person, but think that sometimes the tech solution aren't always the best😊

I've always worn a silicone ID Bracelet that lists all my issues. Check out Amazon.

Try mekeyicetag.com

It’s a usb fob with the international medic alert icon on the fob and you store all your medical information on it -tons of data GB, easy to do with your computer and fits on your key chain.

It’s a personal choice but would never use a usb hub if I was unfortunate to need it I would have to throw it away afterwards. Im totally neurotic about getting a virus on any of my pc’s or laptops, and certainly wouldn’t trust the tech department in our local hosp!

I do however have a medic alert watch and bracelet and always wear one or the other.

You have to buy your watch, braclet,

To continue...

It costs about £20 a year, the back of item is engraved with a personal number and say something like on anticoagulants and a telephone number people can phone for further details. There’s also a card with your details on it you can keep in your phone, purse or whatever.

I know this works internationally as was recognised by a Swedish doctor on a Greek island!

Well worth thinking about

I wear my MedicAlert bracelet 24/7/365 - only took it off for the angiogram and put it back on (the other arm) on the way home from the procedure. I can't imagine being without it.

I also have a spare (in a slightly smaller size - hope floats for more weight loss ;) ).

I wouldn’t be without mine, I lost my bracelet whilst swimming near Portsmouth and to my amazement found its way home. Some kind person had sent it to medic alert and they posted it one to me.
