Stress echo test

Hi everyone, I am just wondering how long it takes to receive your results from having a Stress echo test on the nhs.

My consultant said it would be 3-4 weeks is this a normal amount of time to get results back ?

A few people have said that they got there’s back straight away, so there could be something wrong with mine as I have to wait so long for mine .

Thank you

Hello and welcome to the forum! Unfortunately this is near the norm for overloaded cardiolgy services. If something really serious is spotted they can act very fast. A friend has a stress ECG, was not allowed home and admitted on the spot. From there he was transferred to Papworth, had further tests and a triple bypass all within five days.

For non urgent checks I think that is the norm these days but one thing is for sure - If you needed something urgently or there was something discovered during a test, then you would be made aware if it immediately................sit tight the time will pass and rely on the fact that you are now in the system and in the best of hands.

Hi Millie. My experience was similar to the other posts in that when I had my stress test done they told me immediately of an issue they found.
