Hello and welcome to the forum! This is one of those tests where the acceptable range varies with both age and sex. The good news is that a value below 400 indicates heart failure is extremely unlikely. Let us know what your GP says.

Mine was well over 200 (cut off 150) but was dismissed by Cardiologist. Can be elevated for other non heart related issues.

Many thanks for the replies. So 201.000ng/l is lower than -50ng/l as this is the cut off point at the lab that run the test. Sorry to ask again but isn’t 201,000 greater than -50? Just do t understand the values.

I’m coming up to 50 years of age this December and have had a few health scares one of which is this one and another underlying neurological problem which is still under investigation ?? On both issues.
