It appears that some generic drugs may not be all they seem. Having had issues (palpitations) with one generic I then accepted it was probably the non-active ingredients but now this article had may me think maybe it was not. A friend's wife had an issue with a generic beta blocker when chest pain returned.

Write to the MHRA and they will ask for samples of the drugs to test and quickly reply to you.
