Not my usual Thursday rant, more of my dark ironic humour.
Despite CVD, MVA, MRI and a range of another annoying TLAs, to say noticing of the tiredness and pain, I’m pretty good humoured most of the time.
But the think that actually makes me really grumpy, really really grumpy, is the constant battle with constipation!
Combination of the drugs (all of which list this as a possible side effect), the poor exercise, too much time sat on the sofa and a bit of genetics.
There is nothing quite like that bunged up feeling of constipation to make me grumpy😡, then after enough potion and tablets.... shall we say three buses come along at the same time🤭.
There I’ve said it!
Anyone feel the same?

The lower carb intake sends me this way too. Lots of water a tbsp of pumpkin seeds and a handful of either dried apricots or prunes. And keep moving to keep things moving!
Have you tried Regucol from Holland and Barrett? It’s powdered psyllium husk so it just provides roughage. It’s also said to reduce cholesterol, too. It’s a bit expensive but I’ve managed to get it on offer.
I noticed a medium tub of ice cream does work well...not that I "recommend", it just works, just saying. . . It forces stuff out well. Something to do with "Fat" contents that lubricate the tract.
The low sugar chocolate we have had a warning that excessive consumption may have laxative effects. Got to be worth trying (after the ice cream).
It’s Heavenly Chocolate, that featured successfully on Dragons Den recently- really is good and very low sugar, dairy free, but uses coconut oil ( natural but saturated fat). We’ve had it on subscription since May, small box delivered every week unless we cancel it😅
Brown sugar instead of white, warm fresh orange juice, grapes. These have all proved successful for unbunginging various members of my family and friends over the years. I have never had that problem.
