DCM and Pulmonary hypertension

Respected colleagues,

Kindly condone me for disturbing.

Being a DCM patient since May 2018, I am being administered with carvedilol, spironolactone plus toresemide, atorovastatin & clopidegril.

As on date I am almost asymptomatic duly following the life style changes such as reduced salt / fluids and regular walking.

I have been for a review with my cardiologist and echo was done with blood tests. (Report annexed please) My BP was 120/80 & oxygen level 98%.

In today's echo there was a mention about mild pulmonary hypertension. My doctor didn't add any additional drug and asked me to be relaxed & slow in my normal activities without stopping my daily walking and other restrictions of salt & fluid.

I am worried about this pulmonary hypertension as I don't have any idea as to whether it is high or manageable with the existing drugs.

However, till now I am asymptomatic and carrying on my daily routine as usual.

Kindly advise me about my condition and as to whether any other precaution / treatment plan is to be meted out for this.

With regards,

M. Vivekanandan

Hi Vivi2711, I'm afraid I dont know much about pulmonary hypertension but your Dr has said it's mild so presumably no additional medication is required at the moment. However, your Dr does appear to be telling you to continue your daily routine including your exercise but don't push yourself too hard. So maybe just slow your pace down a bit?
