Niggles after stent

Morning, I was diagnosed with angina back in early June. Sought a second opinion as I was essentially sent home with rampiril and a GTN spray. I ended up speeding up my very slow progress paying for a private angiogram. Cardiologist was sure I was fine and wanted to eliminate concerns. Shock for both of us was a 99% blockage. He fitted as stent there and then to avoid a lengthy NHS wait. I’m very pleased this was affordable to me. I am now 10 days in and do have a niggle in my chest pretty much al the time. I have a number to call, an likely will do this morning, but wondered if this was normal? Any advice or suggestions most welcome.

It;s different for everyone so I can only tell you I had 100% blockage and had a stent fitted as I had a massive heart attack. Fortunately, I've never had any pain with the stent. I'm eighteen months on. Ring asap even though lots of others on here will tell you they had niggling pain you should get it checked out. Good luck.

I was told the heart doesn’t like being messed with! So niggles after a stent could be just that. Mine took awhile to settle. But I’d call the number you were given just to be sure.

Hi Highbury Hill

As the others have said it can take a while for stents to settle in.

I would get back to your Cardiologist to discuss with them your ongoing symptoms.
