Finally out the other side of op, cannot remember much of intensive care was only there overnight then moved straight to E Ward so no high dependency ward, I had to remove jacket/Brace as I was so hot and kept slipping up to my throat, stockings off I said I would have clotting injection instead. Bit of a sore journey but I’m home now 5th day and feeling so relieved. The only problem I have is shoulders & neck aching and I felt very poorly felt like my chest was on fire yesterday evening worried me a little but after a relatively good night sleep feeling better.
Thank you all for your messages of support xxx

Good to hear you are out the other side. It is early days yet, do take it easy and take pain killers as needed. I did not come off them until the end of week 4. You get no rewards for suffering and it slows recovery. At least the best wave has ended. Last years started on my discharge and I am convinced it slowed recovery early on. Good luck going forward!
Good news! I'm in week six after my triple bypass. I also experienced neck/shoulder discomfort for a while, probably due to the bruising on my neck where the cannulas had been placed. It does get easier as all the bruising starts to disappear. I echo Michael's advice to take it easy for a few weeks - I hope you have good support round you to do all the meal prep, washing and cleaning etc. That will allow you to concentrate on the recommended exercise of breathing and walking to build up your strength. Best wishes.
good news it's all done, every thing will start to feel better soon. I hated the stockings and couldn't manage the full six weeks recommended. Also had pains in the collar bone area and a burning /stinging sensation down the scar. All that improved a lot now. Get well soon, onwards and upwards Froggie x
