Hi just wondering if anyone knows someone like myself, who is living with Chronic Aortic Dissection type A ascending. If so, how long have they had it and how are they managing?
I had mine in March 2018, but was not diagnosed until late July 2018 when I had an outpatient echocardiogram . I am due to go for six monthly checks, echocardiogram, ct with dye etc. Does anyone know the longest time someone has lived with this condition?

Milexi, sorry to hear this and sorry for the delay in seeing your post. That's a pretty unusual case, Type A is usually seen as an urgent surgical case. You could try the Facebook Aortic Dissection UK Buddies group, but I don't recall many at all being medically managed for type A.
