BBC 1 Programme tonight 7pm. Fraud Squad NHS....

New Series starting tonight re the work of the NHS Counter Fraud Authority. Investigators track a Hospital Worker who has stolen vital surgical equipment worth over 1 million pound. Unbelievable!! This is on BBC One Wales. Not sure about other parts of the UK. Can't wait to see this!!

Lol. Just sat down to watch it though and there was a Programme Change!! Watched it on I Player and it was good. What a 'Low-Life' he was. Ended up with four years in Prison, good enough for him!! :)

I really don't understand some people. Do they really have no conscience at all! As for the consultant who abused it then 3 years is not enough - was he struck off the register? I sincerely hope so!!

I watched the programme - what an eye opener. I found the other case the more amazing. A team of NHS perfusionists at one hospital was hardly ever there, and procedures were being cancelled, because they were offering their services privately to another hospital and making shed loads of money. What is so astonishing is that the senior management of the NHS hospital didn't seem to be aware of it. Surely if personnel are regularly not there someone would investigate before the Fraud people got involved?
