Hi Has anyone out there been on this and come off it after a few days after experiencing problems with Anaemia and what effects did it have?

I was on it for 6 months post heart attack and came off it as planned on advice of cardio. Did you stop taking it on medical advice?

My Husband has just been put on it, had 4 tablets of 75mg, covered in bruises, blood too thin as he`s already been taking a blood thinner for 3 years and they`ve put him in on this clopidrogrel as well, being questioned by our Doctor`s Pharmacist when his Blood count was tested yesterday. Did you just come off it or were you weaned off it gradually.

On it but crucial for blood thinning

Ask yr doctor

My husband just came off it (advice from Dr)when he was about to have dental treatment and hasn’t restarted it yet. He was on both aspirin and clopidigrel for many years but some Drs think 1 blood thinner is enough. Speak to your GP or pharmacist before just stopping.

Hi Thanks for response - Did your Husband just stop taking it or was he weaned off it?

He just stopped but I wouldn’t recommend it without advice 🙃

My Husband has been on Warfarin and is now on one of the newer blood thinners called Dabigatran which he`s been fine on but he had a bout of chest pain last Sunday, carted off to Hospital and was put on this blood thinner which our Doctor`s Pharmicist doesn`t agree with and as it`s caused his red blood cells to be abnormal and he`s covered in bruises as well, one blood thinner is probably enough. He has an appointment with a Doctor on Monday so we`ll see what she says.

Thank you for responding, much appreciated

My GP stopped mine because of sever e stomach pain and said aspirin alone would be fine. Stopped immediately, not weaned off. Anaemia could suggest bleeding somewhere. I'd get the cause investigated

Thanks for response. My Husband wasn`t anaemic till he was put on Cloppywhatever, he was fine on Warfarin to start with then onto Dabigatran, a new blood thinner which the Hospital don`t seem to have heard of.

I am on Clopidogrel, it suits me fine, aspirin caused anaemia and made me very ill.
