Arterial leg Diagnosis.

I've just had ultra sound on both legs for varicose veins, bad in one leg. The professor doing it said that I've two arteries in BOTH legs, a very rare condition (I know it not a disease) but I'd like to know more. What is it called, where can I find out more?

Suggestions please.
