Morning All its been a while since i posted anything but i have an issue can statins (rosuvastain) cause testicular pain , ive been in constant pain now for about 6 weeks ive been to the G.P. had all the tests and scans all are good and normal but doesnt account for the pain, its starting to affect my mood as its constant been given 30/500 codeine does nothing, also flu like symptoms ,fatigue tiredness, is anyone else having this or had this ? as its, forgive the pun,driving me nuts, as all tests are ok no infections bloods normal scans clear?

I would doubt it is the statin. Besides lowering cholesterol they also reduce irritation, often a precursor to plaque formation, and stabilise plaque. It might be worth your GP trying you on a different statin, e.g. Atorvastatin.

Your symptoms sound very much like an infection. They are often notoriously difficult to diagnose and treat in this region as the body's defences are strong to protect the future of the human race. I picked all this up from a former colleague who developed a testicular infection - he was constantly changing his seating position. If a change of statin brings no relief I think you need to be referred to a consultant. My colleague was and needed a very specific, hospital use only, antibiotic to clear it. Good luck.
