Two weeks ago i experienced a feeling of an elephant sitting on my chest for an hour. I had pain round my ribs and to my back and a little up to my jaw. I have never experienced anything like this before. I was abroad at the time and didn’t seek medical help then. As soon as I got back to the UK I went to my GP who gave me a GTN spray and I am now awaiting a hospital referral. She is inclined to think it was indigestion as I am not overweight, exercise regularly , have a healthy diet, have no family history and don’t smoke or drink. However since the attack I have been utterly exhausted, and never known tiredness like it. I had a normal ECG at the surgery to. I don’t really know what to think it was now! I am 59 and female.

Hello what a shock you have had and are still experiencing . Hopefully its nothing to worry about. But If you dont hear about an app in the next couple of days i would advise chasing them up.just to make sure you're in the system. Just remember to take your spray when needed. make sure you are sitting down and take one spray first and see if that works, you may experience a horrendous headache, thats normal, awful but normal . If you feel it gets worse dont hesitate to call 999, best to be on the safe side. Hoping all goes well with your app. Take care and hugs
What Loving-life says plus try to relax. Look at it this way: it has been caught before it became too serious. If you want an early appt. phone the hospital and tell them you can take a cancellation appt. This will also check that you are "in the system".
