Went up my local hospital on the 2nd Apr & they don't know for sure what has happened to me
Basically I can't say the letter G & struggle with J, will pause midsentence or midword, memory ain't quite what it used to be

Hi hero. I suffer from this too. I find I can’t find the words I want to say. It’s very frustrating and embarrassing at times. This has only happened since heart attack last year. Currently waiting (patiently)to see a neurologist. Hope they can shed some light on it. Just know you are not alone ❤️shiona
I am not an expert and don’t want to alarm anyone but my husband had a small stoke caused by a blood clot about 7 weeks after his quadruple bypass surgery (he was taken off anticoagulant at 6 weeks). He now has a slight aphasia whereby he can’t always find the word he wants, says things that are totally the opposite of what he means and has poor short term memory. The upside of this is that he is still improving 10months on and his slightly obscure sense of humour is returning! He is also very adept at ‘giving clues’ as to who or what he can’t find the word for!
I hope you find an answer and don’t worry.
Hi Janma, I have been taken off the aspirin that I was on as well
Sometimes I can't find the word I want or say it & have noticed that the same letter that follows each other can stumble me, it's the same when someone says it to me as my brain takes a tad longer to process the information
I also hope I can get some answers as plan to mention it when I go for my autism appointment when it comes through & whenever I see the Neurology team again, but the stroke team did say that they'd see me again if there was a need
Hi HeroOfTime, brains are amazing things and can learn new pathways to correct faulty ones. My husband was always really good with numbers and mental arithmetic but now he struggles to do any calculations and if anything involves numbers he has to count up or down from a random starting point but always arrives at the correct point.
Allow yourself time and don’t feel embarrassed about it - Bob tells people what has happened, even those he doesn’t know if he is in a situation that has a numerical answer and they are always supportive and understanding.
Best wishes.
I find it awkward @ work as giving back numberplate is part of my job & I dunno what the person thinks of me & the company I work for
I've tried explaining it to my husband & he understands, but my family don't as they find it hard
