Hello my Dad was diagnosed with advanced arterial stenosis a few weeks ago. We want to look at private treatment and he lives in South Yorkshire. Please can anyone recommend a private consultant? We are unsure who to contact. Thank you

Is there a particular reason you want to go private - or is this just for a consultation? As to where to go then that could be a pin stickers guide as there are many good consultants around these days - depends on how far you want to travel, unfortunately Yellow Pages doesn't have a section. You may be better off contacting the BHF Helpline on Monday for further advice.

Thank you...yes I think he needs a consultation. He has an NHS appointment but its weeks away and he is getting quite anxious. Will try BHF on Monday.

Hello and good morning

I would very highly recommend Mr Rober Casula He is one of the best Surgeons in the world. Check him out on the Internet. He replaced my aortic valve in 2005 he does minimal invasive surgery, you can contact him at the Wellington hospital St Johns wood London. Believe me it is well worth the journey

My surgeon was Mr Frank Wells of Papworth, excellent, I would completely entrust myself to him again.
