I have had 2 stents gitted 5 weeks ago and am experiencing the same symptons that I had before the procedure. Strong ache in my chest, breathlessness, and palpitations. I can't do anything or go anywhere and cant walk any distance. Is this normal.

Hi Kora 7 I am no expert but have had two procedures and 5 stents. It is normal to take a while for stents to settle in and spasms are not uncommon. However I think you need to make an appointment to get checked out for peace of mind.
Hi Kora, are you under the care of a Cardiac Nurse? If so, what have they said ??
HiKora7. I had stents and felt the same afterwards. A month later I ended up back in hospital for another week and had extensive checks and another angiogram which showed everything was fine. In retrospect, I think it does take a while for stents to settle (I was never warned of this - just told 'you're all fixed now') and also for your body to adjust to all the meds you suddenly have to take (that's still ongoing 10 months later). Why don't you have a chat with your GP or contact the bhf helpline? It's best not to ignore it if you don't feel right x
I also experienced 'twinges' and after checks was assured all is well but these things need time to settle.
