Really sad news, I am keen F1 lover and I do appreciate that over the years how much good CW has done for the betterment of F1, am sure he will be missed.

The reason for posting this news here is that he of pulmonary embolism, despite having best possible healthcare, guess shows the danger we live with.

Yes, very sad news indeed. I have been an F1 fan for around 40 years and what I liked about Charlie was that he was always honest and fair, and stayed away from the politics of the sport. A hard act to follow. This is not really the place to comment but I a unhappy about how the sport has developed in recent years.

Yes, you never can tell what the future holds. Someone I know vaguely has survived a blood clot on the lung and a stroke at different times but still, to my knowledge, does not embrace lifestyle changes!
