Waiting list time

Hi, this week I am going to meet the heart surgeon for the first time. I was just wondering if anyone knows the waiting list time for repair of mitral valve...I have been very nervous since the cardiologist told me I need an operation...

I hope it goes well with the surgeon, and they are clear with you about how long you might wait. I’m sure the severity will influence how high you are on the list.

We were all nervous at this stage. Try to relax and get as fit as you can before the operation, without overdoing it, e.g. lots of walking.
