I have had A F for 9 years on medication Bisoprolol Flecanaide Lisinoprol Warfarin have had an episode of fast heart rate 100 -120 for 2 days about once twice a month but recently have had an episode lasting about 40 days where heart rate was jumping around from about 75 - 120 under cardiologist who added Digoxin and changed from Warfarin to Apixaban but hasn't improved it although I had chest infection and he said could be cause of this does anyone have similar problems

It could be a chest infection. That would affect a heart that was struggling a bit and may take a little longer to settle. Follow advice and give it a little time.x

Hi, I have AF for nine months so still learning. Hope u feel better soon. I was told it’s not necessarily the numbers per see but how you feel at the highest and the lowest and then speed of change. I’ve always been told to ring 999 or walk into A&E during these moments. Never did as I worried about wasting their time. It could be your meds regime is now not holding you and you need a review. Or sorry to suggest another complication. So I invite you to give your GP a ring to discuss with them. 🤞 fingers crossed but you body is saying something, best to listen. Wish you well
