Hi, I have AF that is, managed with, anticoagulants, beta blockers and digoxin. I have had a cardioversion but it worked for only three days. I am now on the waiting list for an ablation. The prospect of undergoing tbis procedure terrifies me.
I know Im being irrational but that is how I feel.
Has anyone had an ablation that can offer some words of support,
Many thanks, Christopher

It terrifies me too. I have yet to make my decision - to say on the beta blockers for a while as I feel ok and I have paroxysmal AF or go for the ablation. Consultant said I have to weight up benefits vs risks and is leaving up to me. I have time to think and have found this forum really good to hear everyone’s tales...but yes, the sheer thought of it makes me quiver.
