Psoriasis and heart meds.

I have had psoriasis since I was 5 years old and it has always been a nuisance but since heart failure 6 months ago it has gone mad and now covers my back and arms. I have shown it to my g.p. but I get doublebase cream which makes it look so red and sore. I'm sure it's related to heart meds and as things are I am more concerned about my heart but it would be wonderful to get some relief from the itching . Any ideas welcome.
