Hi posted a few time about I'm heart condition that was met to be closed via Trans catheter bit couldn't be done as on attempt there wasn't enough tissue to hold the implant.. anything I ended up having an angiogram them 2 stents fitted a few weeks ago. I'm now getting full OHS to fix the closer early next year and I am worried about my financial situation...I work full time bit still off with high blood pressure and wife is only part time.....we have one son who is 9 and was hoping someone could give me any advice if I can get help from the government?

I would suggest you have a chat with the CAB. It is hard to comment as I do not know if you get sick pay, your employment situation, any savings, etc.

Yeah I'll do that l. I'll be on Sick pay and will probably need to use up all my holidays to get some money but just wondered if there was any help short term out there to help cover bills etc

This is why you need to talk to the CAB. Sick pay varus tremendously between companies and can be anything from full pay to SSP (statutory sick pay) only. SSP is it around £90/week. If you only get SSP there may be means tested benefits available.

If you have mortgage protection this may pay out something depending on the T's & C's.

Contrary to what had been said they do pay PIP in some cases of long term heart conditions. OHS should lead to a massive improvement. For PIP I believe the condition has to be so severe that daily tasks have become near impossible.

You can claim sick pay but unfortunately nothing long term.Heart conditions are not considered disabilities even in young people.
