numb legs

hi again,, 6 months on from heart attack and ive started suffering from ,,mainly in right leg,,, a dead feeling in calf that keeps travelling down and making the foot totally void of feeling ,, this mostly happens at rest but it affects both legs sometimes and the fingers and the face ,, i think,,, mite just be the hands are dead and cant feel anything else thru them ,,,, doc on last visit tried to get me on quinine ,,,for nite cramps but i refused to take after reading the side effects ( death being one of them) ,, had enough side effects to deal with on other meds ,,,, does anyone have any answers please

Hello and welcome to the forum! Has your GP done a Doppler test to check the circulation in the legs as sometimes these arteries are affected by narrowing like the coronary ones. The condition is known as PAD (peripheral arterial disease). Quinine does work for cramps - a tonic water contains quinine and if allowed you can add a gin!

had doppler done ,, all ok ,, dont get cramps so dont need quinine
