You can look on the NHS website for advice of the side effects of Ramipril (nhs.uk/medicines/ramipril/). The most common side effect is a cough, especially so in the early days of taking it.
I have not been advised by any health professionals to avoid any foods as a direct result of using ramipril - there are many foods I should avoid because of CHD, but these would apply to everyone and not just those on Ramipril.

I am not aware of any foods to avoid with ramapril. Earlier this year I did hear a statement (HCA?) that grapefruit should be avoided with statins and BP medication. The only BP medication that I have come across that recommends avoiding grapefruit is the calcium channel inhibitor Amlodipine. Obviously it may apply to others but I have obviously not read the inserts for every BP medication out there.
If you are getting side effects talk to your GP as he always try an alternative.
