Where, when? Does it seem heart related?

Yes in the heart area not regular.

It is unlikely to be your heart and more likely to be musculoskeletal. However, I am not qualified to say but would suggest you run it by 111 sooner rather than later. They or your GP, might decide on a 24-hour monitor to check things. If though you have a pacemaker or other device then ring 999.

That's interesting, musculoskeletal why would that send electrical signals, as the heart is a muscle like a plug if it's not wired properly it sparks. I'm not disagreeing with you just don't know any of this. I don't have a pacemaker or any other.

Your body sends messages around the body by the nervous system. These can get mixed up by injury or even something as simple as a trapped nerve. I had an injection once that jolted my whole body. The nurse said it was rare and not reproducible!

Thanks I'll keep that in mind.

I did have a T.I.A last year through stress and gave up work. Stress does many things to the body, many times in A @E. with chest pains, isn't it the body saying enough?

If you have undergone heart bypass surgery, they have to cut through loads of nerves. As they start to heal you will experience various tingling sensations anywhere across our chest. My operation was 4 months ago and I get them frequently - mainly around the nipple areas but also elsewhere across the chest. They feel like little mild electric shocks / tingling sensations. I am assured by medical staff that these are perfectly normal but you should discuss it with your GP or cardiac rehab people to make sure yours is nothing more serious.

Thanks I will do this next week, it can be quite frightening. Do you not think sometimes you get used to feeling ill it can become the norm. I haven't had any operations in that area. I see cardiologist soon too.

You get them too! I generally get them at night when I'm sleeping and they wake me up. I have had them checked at the cardio clinic, and they say they are not due to my icd. If you have a pacemaker, this could be the machine regulating your heart. I have spoken to medically qualified relatives, but have got no definitive answers.

I had 2 stents put in a week ago and I am getting these quite frequently as well. I have mentioned to cardiologist and he assured me it’s common. Personally I find it very disconcerting but I start cardio rehab next week so I am going to mention again.
