Devoid of choice

Arteries aorta don’t work like it alter

Blocked artery and blocked road!

Frozen feelings like a frozen toad

Devastated and shocked as a smashed rock turned into sand

Devastated and shocked like a smashed rock, turned to sand without anything to hand

Sound blasting my thoughts putting holes in my heart which seems to be falling apart

Hysterical and almost evangelical, I try not to whine

while trying not to think about the divine.

I coward, I am uncharted and unwilling to stop myself from spinning

The vortex of despair sucking out all my air

Trying not to despair and not be so aware

Restless and reticent to wrestle some justice and judgment

Due diligence will help me solve my solace without which would being me more promise

Dear heart friend.

Many on here will know all the feelings you have shared with us. Thank you. Time will pass and you will start to look forward, believe me.

After my partner had two cardiac arrests, spent days in ITU and weeks in hospital and after surgery to implant an ICD we are now both looking forward and trying to enjoy life each day. We are now 9 months on and life is good again. Take care and good luck.
