Hi I am 49 years old and just been told by my Dr that I am 'moving nicely into the menopause'. I have also been told that this can affect my cholesterol and I could have heart issues.
Have any of you lovely folk out there got any advice to remain healthy during the menopause?
Thanks Hayley.

Hi Hayley, have you had any checks for say your cholesterol? Strange for your GP to say that due to the menopause you could have heart issues without any other evidence. Do you have any family history of heart conditions? My father passed away at 41 and I have just had a triple bypass. At 52 I still have flushes and was on HRT before my bypass, was told I had to stop when I started taking other heart medication. I would check more with your GP and get a fasting cholesterol blood test at least. Best of luck xx
