I am awaiting surgery for the above. I also have a moderate leak on my tri cuspid valve. I usually experience a sort of ‘flipping’ sensation at night which usually keeps me awake for a while. I’m now getting this on the day. Should I be concerned?
Thanks

Hello Laradog - do you mean palpitations? I sometimes experience these as a big thump and sometimes a run of fluttering for a few seconds. I notice them most when I'm watching TV.
My mitral valve leak is at almost severe and I'm just waiting for my cardiologist to come back from holiday to find out what he plans to do following my last echo.
I was always told mine were ventricular ectopics and nothing to worry about, but they have certainly increased in the last few weeks.
Do you have any other symptoms and do you know when your surgery is planned? Waiting is horrible!
I’ve had a mitral valve replacement often and it’s not a nice op but u’ll cope. The docs kno wen u need the op so if it’s delayed I believe it’s to make u fink and change ur lifestyle. I had one delayed recently and now changing my lifestyle.
