Myocardial Bridge with atrial fibrilation

Hi everyone,

Have never used this service before but wanted to know if anyone has a Myocardial Bridge with atrial fibrilation? I am due to have open heart surgery on mine this month and would be interested if anyone else has this condition and has had surgery to remove it. Cannot find much information on this condition so any help would be really helpful.

Hi,

Have you looked at the American site Inspire which has a heart section. I have a Myocardial Bridge along with other heart conditions so have read quite a bit on this site. There are people who have had surgery to deroof I think it’s called, if this is what you are interested in? My recollection is there are positive outcomes and not so just like many surgeries! However, it depends what you are having done and why and what other conditions you have we are not all the same.

I always research things and want to be informed as much as I can be so you feel you are making the right decision. You may then have more informed questions you can ask the Dr. I have found it useful to read other people’s journeys to get an idea of recovery.

i also have paroxysmal afib and recently learned i have a myocardial bridge. I dont know anything yet or if it is dangerous. I dont experience symptoms from it that i know of. I do wonder if they are connected.
