Myocardial Bridge
Hi mistymolly, my husband was diagnosed with this after he took a massive heart attack during getting an angiogram drs all panicked . They never told my hubby at the time what was going on but did call us3 months later Dr was shocked he was still alive we were shocked at his thoughts! End result after many other scans ecg etc my hubby was told by a national expert he would not operate only 2 percent survival rate . They also said your very lucky to have lived this long so everyday is a bonus as he was born with it. He was told the arteries in and around the heart were all entangled like spaghetti and he had one of the worst cases you can get. He suffers daily chest pain and sudden extreme tiredness but pushes his body so hard and in fact he cares for me . I think he’s mentally strong and this makes him physically strong oh and he’s very stubborn..his GP has got all the facts for his particular case but it wasn’t easy it took a year of writing letters to the heart dr without getting any reply. Also he knew a heart dr and got him to look into his file and even had appointment with him right away he told him No way was he getting any type of heart surgery due to there being 3 different stages and his was worst type he’d ever seen. Was told to go and enjoy life to the full. We have tried to get so much help for him but with no success but he is stubborn and keeps himself active as possible. I honestly don’t know what I would do without him he’s my rock. Can I ask how you found out you had this and what symptoms you get also if youv managed to get any treatment many thanks, sorry for long post iv just never came across anyone to talk to before reg this please take care 🌹🌹
Hi if you want to message me privately I've no problem whatsoever. It's a nightmare living with a bridge. I found out after second angiogram. The experts for this are in Stanford University Hospital in California but surgery is very expensive. I cannot lead a normal life due to symptoms on a daily basis. Weakness is a major problem for me. There is an excellent support group on Facebook where you will gets tons of information. I really wish your husband well. You are blessed to have him. Never give up x
Thank you so much for your support I will certainly look on Facebook for the info on it , I’m sorry you can’t get the treatment you deserve ☹️ It’s Not fare we live in the uk and up until now none of us have had proper treatment from drs .i would gladly speak to you privately but I can’t seem to work out how to start the conversation although if anyone has message me I can seem to answer.
