Hi everyone, Im 32 years old, I had a heart attack 12 months ago and arrest a number of times i had a 95% blockage in the LAD from a ruptured bit of plaque and haven't felt right since (had a stent fitted). Ive had every test under the sun done and all keep coming back saying im all clear. ECG 24 hrs all fine ECG 72 hrs awaiting results MRI Stress test all fine very minimal damage from the heart attack so minimal it wasnt even see on the ultrasound I had done, ejection fraction rate was 76% which im told is excellent even though i dont fully understand what it is! treadmill test all fine. CT angiogram all clear. currently on 5mg ramapril 75mg asprin and 80mg statin (dropping to 40 in a few days) Ive just come of the ticagorolor 7 days ago.The problems Im having... I have an issue breathing when stood up or sat down only relived by lying down flat, its like a constant pressure in the chest/throat and I cant get a proper satisfying breath, I have ectopic beats when I exercise and when i sit down after walking around, Iam suffering from vertigo when standing to the point of falling over, i keep going cold clammy and sweaty and very pale throughout the day, the day after I exercise I am totally wiped out, pale and cant do anything without being exhausted. I constantly have massive bags under my eyes and dark circle like I haven't slept for weeks but i sleep loads, I get intermittent jaw and left arm pain the jaw pain sometimes lasts for days then just goes away, I have a constant cough. My BP kept going high when standing but this seems to have stopped since coming of the ticagrolor its about 130/70 sitting and 120/80 standing. Im at my wits end with it all, I keep getting sent home from work because i look so ill and falling into things all the time, I just cant get on with my life and I keep getting zero answers from drs and cardiologists. does anyone else have similar symptoms or problems or any advise for me, im running out of places to turn and I feel so alone and dont know what to do.

Hi. Poor you. I know exactly how you feel. My heart attack was in February and I had 2 stents in a single vessel. I don't know where everyone gets they're info about blockage percentages etc. I've been told nothing I keep passing out. Have done it in rehab a few times and still nothing seems to be getting done. I had an echo and a 24 hr monitor bout 5 weeks ago and still awIting results. CRdio nurse just says she saw the recording and there was ectopic son it but nothing to worry about(you think!) cardiologist hasn't put anything on system is all I get told apparently I don't have a cardiologist. I could go and on but I'll spare you. Iv ended up in a&e 3 times with chest back shoulder pain all tests ok. Last time was told I had unstable angina and sent home with meds which cardio nurse told me not to take as she didn't think I had it. Who do we listen to

I feel your pain I truly do, it nice to speak to someone having simalar issues. I to was the same in and out of a and e collapsed at rehab given all sort of drugs that made me worse I got overdosed by mistake by my GP and my BP dropped to 90/40. whrn I first went into hospital I was told I couldn't be having a heart attack I was to young then my heart stopped! I have no faith in the Drs anymore. I hope we get some answers soon if I find out anything ill update you, I found coming off the beta blocker helped alot with the near fainting eposides in my case but dont do anything with your drugs without asking your Dr first

I just feel I'm being fobbed off. Iv not had a stress test or MRI how can they find out what's causing these symptoms if they don't do any tests

Cardiac nurse keeps saying she'll talk to cardiologist and never does. Again after passing out in rehab class she says she'll see about getting a loop recorder fitted but alas he's on holiday this wk. Is it just me!!!!

I had all the same problems a few months back my problem now is they have done all the tests and I'm still no further on and still have all the same problems. Just keep calling and mithering and don't give up and you'll get the tests in the end it but takes a long time

they keep putting it down to anxiety with me but they don't see me every day falling over or turning white as a sheet with massive bags under my eyes like my friends and family do. Your not alone just try and stay strong I'm sure we will get answers in the end

To me it would seem appropriate to have a 24 hour BP measurement. One off ones often do not tell the whole story and what you describe sounds like it could be episodes of hypotension. Good luck.

I've had one of them as well but they did it when I came of the beta blocker so it was all over the place one reading was 120/80 then half an hr later it was 170/100 so they will probably have to do it again. my BP was high until o came of the ticagrolor but seems to be normal again now

it was standard issue meds after the heart attack just to give my heart time to recover but because my MRI was good they said I could stop the beta blocker

Ask about changing the Ramipril! I felt like I had vertigo on it... was walking holding on to things to stay upright! Fell down stairs, couldn't get up from bed or chair without staggering to my right, one day off and symptoms disappeared!

I have heart failure and been on three drugs which made me ill from side effects! On no drugs last 3-4 weeks and although heart unprotected I feel like me again something I hadn't since 12th March HF diagnosis. Already been told what I have from Echo but getting forced in to an angiogram on Monday to confirm.

Go speak to your GP or Cardiologist perhaps ask to try alternative drugs. Good luck.

Sorry to hear about your diagnosis but glad your feeling better of the tablets, thanks for the advise, the vertigo does seem to wear off in the evening and the morning actually, then gets alot worse about an hr after I've taken the ramapril my GP has said they will try me on carastartin i think its called also dropping my statin to 40mg from 80mg so hopfully that will help.

Can't offer much help, except the Ramipril could be causing your cough. It is a very common side effect.

Hi there, had an SCA in mid March. Had an an ICD fitted and was put on medication. The medication consisted of Ramipril and I had very similar symptoms to yourself. I was given an alternative and within a couple of days was improving. I’m no expert but, speaking to your GP would perhaps be a good first step. Feeling bad is not going to do anybody any good and is unlikely to help your condition. Good luck.

I wish you the best of luck! Ramipril gave me a bad cough after about 4 months, then I was changed to another b p medicine. Clare
