Hi guys just joined. I'll give a brief history to introduce myself. I had a heart attack in February which needed 2 stents in the same vessel. Was recovering well and started rehab end of march. That's when things changed. Firstly I kept getting breathless light headed and on a few occasions passed out. Was taken of blood pressure meds and changed from tigagrelor to copa something. Ended up in a&e with chest pains on 3 occasions but all tests were clear which was good but now I feel like the boy who cried wolf. After a total pass out in rehab I was barred until they found out what was goin on. This really affected me emotionally as I felt I was just being dismissed which wasn't true but my mind struggled with it. Cardio nurse arranged a quick echo and 24 hr monitor. Echo looked ok. Nurse has looked at monitor reading but nothing from cardiologist yet. She said today that she thought it looked ok but there was periods of missing beats. Don't know what that means but I'm allowed to try rehab again tomorrow but she's put the fear in me mentioning missing beats. That's my story so far. So if anyone can relate to any of this some encouragement would be greatly appreciated. Sorry for going on a bit

Hi Shosov and welcome. Not going on at all. It’s good to get the full picture. It’s good that the rehab team have you firmly in their sights. Maybe ask at rehab specifically about the missing beats. Also ask when will you see the cardiologist they may know. You will get lots of support on here so I am sure others will be able to offer advice. Do take care. Zena
Thanks zena. I plan on speaking to them tomorrow
Ectopic beats are commonly referred to has "missed beats" which aren't missed beats at all. They are a normal beat followed by a longer than normal gap between beats followed by a much stronger than normal beat, giving the impression a beat was missed when in fact it was simply delayed. They are usually harmless but always sensible to get them checked out. Good luck Roy
Thanks for hat roy. Nurse explained it to me yesterday but your version makes more sense to me👍
