pfo with intra Atrial aneurism

hi.. im now 6 months post heart attack at the age of 31 and investigations have found a pfo with right to left shunting and an intra atrial aneurism. i know often these two defects are seen together and im now wondering what the treatment options might be. it could be some time before i see a specialist. has anyone has any experience with this?

It might be an idea to have a chat with your GP about trying to chase up your appointment if it is many months away, as it would be good for you to know where you stand and what your options are!

I am presuming in the meantime you take medication to maintain a healthy blood pressure and protect your heart following the heart attack?If these issues were picked up at the time,it may mean that they literally want to see how you go.

Were you able to attend cardiac rehab after it happened? You should have had the opportunity to discuss how you could exercise safely and build your fitness level and confidence too.
