Possible anterior infarct

Hi all. So I am finally seeing consultant on 20th. Bit concerned that recent ECG said ‘possible anterior infarct age undetermined’ The guy who did it never said a word but I’ve seen the report. From googling it says I may have had a heart attack already. Is this possible?

ECG machines are incredibly sensitive and pick up every little wobble in the tracing,which can lead to misinterpretation. Saying 'possible anterior infarct/age undetermined ' is a fairly standard comment on the printout as it doesn't know anything about you, and can even be to do with electrode /lead placement,so please don't be alarmed. When interpreting an ECG, the medical professional doing so will be looking systematically at the actual trace for abnormalities.If the technician had been concerned he would definitely have highlighted it or advised you further. When you see your consultant they will be able to advise you on any further investigations/intervention if necessary.
