I was diagnosed with SVT and prescribed Bisoporol. The dose was increased, but I was re-admitted to hospital, as the symptoms returned, with full force.
The resus team said that it wasn't SVT, it's either Tachy Brady or Wolff Parkinson White Syndrome, as I was pinging between 35 and 200 bpm. The cardiologist wanted to up the same meds to a much higher dosage. However, my blood pressure was so low, that the doctor then vetoed that and I've gone home on less than I started with and no monitoring.
I'm confused, stressed (which I know doesn't help) and still symptomatic (but not as severe). I was advised to present at A and E if the symptoms worsen for 7 hours or more. It just makes no sense to me at all.

The return to A&E advice is quite standard for cardiac patients. On the confusion side of things, I suggest you go and see your GP at the earliest opportunity and have the discussion with her/him. As a little crumb of comfort, I don’t believe the doctors who discharged you home would have done so if they thought your were in any immediate danger.
I have similar - I think it is SVT, as doctors haven't actually told me the diagnosis. My HR last time was around 190 beats per minute which was brought under control with adenosine. I'm waiting ablation, although I'm really not keen on proceeding with that. Are you waiting on a cardiology referral after attending A & E? If not, I will push for one. I know everyone is different, but I was advised to go to A & E if it lasts more than 30 minutes...I personally just go when it comes on.
