I’m currently recovering from angioplasty that was done two weeks ago, following a heart attack. In the last two days I’ve developed a throbbing pain in the left side of my neck. I’m not sure whether this is just another stent recovery pain that will go in a short time? I’m going to contact my Rehab Team tomorrow, but in the meantime any thoughts would be appreciated.

Neck pain!
Same thing happened to me - I had neck and shoulder pain which seemed to get worse. It was a reaction to the statins. Common side effect apparently. Get your doctor to change your statin prescription.
Hi. Thanks for the reply. I will speak to my doctor. Cheers.
I had stents last summer, no problems, but can only advise most strongly that you persist with the rehab. The twice weekly exercise sessions were cripplingly tough at first, but I kept at it and on completing the sessions decided to carry on at the gym myself as the rehab team advised. Before I went into hospital I needed to pause twice on the stairs when going to bed. Now I can run 5,000 metres non stop on a treadmill. Not bad for nudging 70 after a life of zero exercise. Talk to the team, and keep up with the rehab!
Thanks so much for your reply. I will definitely persevere with the rehab.
