Morning everyone. Can anyone explain where the pain in the neck accures? I have Arthritis in my neck so not sure if I'm feel Arthritis or Heart pain. I am also on the list to attend the pain clinic, if it is to do with my Angina then not sure I need to go. Let someone else have my appointment who needs it. Thank you for reading. Mags

Hi Mags i too have angina due to ischeamic heart disease and have had H/A and 7 stents up to present. I was also diagnosed this year with cervical spondylosis causing severe neck pain and headaches but thi is definitely in my case nothing to do with my heart, pain is always shooting up sides of my neck and headache always starts at back of head and rises. I would definitely keep your pain clinic appointment and see your gp if you think it is heart related. All the very best.

Thank you for replying. Only asking as it only got bad as my heart symptoms started, I had no idea that some get pain in the neck.( Just thought that was women with husband's lol sorry couldn't resist) but I have read a few things saying neck pain. Not that worried about it. Not going to worry until I see what consultant has to say on 1st appointment, then just take it as it comes. My own fault really not looking after myself propley. Plus I was over working doing up to 60+ hrs some weeks in Mental health bound to take its toll after 25+ yrs. Keep well 💙👍

My angina pain starts at the back of the throat at the base of the tongue.

My angina usually starts with tight chest, then up the left neck, often to the jaw. Sometimes then left shoulder blade pain and left arm heavy.

But, as others have said, we all seem a bit different!

I monitor things a lot, so getting a better pic of my different symptoms.

Good luck sorting it out.

Go to the cardiologist appointment and they will kno wats causing it. I have a different heart condition but have arthritis due to my heart condition. I was born with a heart condition and my arthritis is lifestyle related.
